DISTRICT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

 30-31/5/1998 - Lions Leadership Workshop

25 district trainers (DT) attended a 2-day Lions Leadership Conference which was held at Crown Princess Hotel in KL. 

The objective of the Conference was to work out a standard curriculum for the Lions Orientation programme for future seminars and/or workshops. This would ensure consistency in the training contents. All DTs would be knowledgeable when they disseminated to the Lion participants. “Though the district was about to be bifurcated, let the torch of the Conference be lighted from now on and continue by the sub districts.” I told them.

Many proposals were table for discussion and decision were accepted for future use. The 2-day conference was not enough to cover our discussion. 

My appointment of eight Leadership Development Chairmen for every region had been fruitful. They were: DC Teoh Ming Liang(R1&2), DC Raymond Tee Pong Meng(R3), DC K.Muthu(R4) DC Woo Sau Yoong(R5), DC Simon Soh(R6&7), DC Yew Siew Kin(R8) and DC Nyiam Tau Choo (R9).
